January 14th, 2022

The number of the Czech military employees slightly fell by 220 last year, from 34,771 to 34,551, which has been the first decrease since 2014, but the number of soldiers increased by more than three hundred, data that CTK received from Jiri Caletka, from the Defence Ministry press section, show. The military writes on its website that people showed interest in joining the army despite problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
