Number of Czechs seeking treatment with advanced stage of cancer up - doctors

More and more Czechs are seeing pulmonologists with lung cancer in an advanced stage as they might have wrongly attributed some symptoms to Covid-19, specialists in lung treatment told reporters on Tuesday on the occasion of the World Lung Cancer Day. Modern technologies allow to remove the tumor in a surgery in some 15 percent of cases. Doctors said they hoped the planned lung screening scheme would increase the share to 50 percent.
