June 17th, 2020
The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Poland increased by 506 since Tuesday and reached 30,701, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday morning. Another 14 people have died, bringing the death toll to 1,286. Out of the total number of new cases, 209 were identified in the Silesia mining region of southern Poland, which so far has shown the highest number of coronavirus infections as coal companies continue to receive the results of large-scale coronavirus tests conducted on mine workers.
