No suspended sentences for child abusers - PM

A suspended sentence should not apply to the crime of pedophilia and the government wants to implement this in the form of legislation, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Tuesday at a press conference after a cabinet meeting. On Tuesday, the government adopted an extensive amendment to the Penal Code, which envisages an increase of the maximum prison sentence for the offense, from 25 to 30 years.
