No EU sanctions against Agriculture Minister Toman

March 19th, 2021

The European Commission (EC) has ended the investigation of Czech Agriculture Minister Miroslav Toman on suspicion of conflict of interest without a sanction, ministry spokesman Vojtech Bily told CTK today. The Czech Republic will not return any money for the granting of a subsidy for a firm bound with Toman's family. The checking of the suspected conflict of interest of Prime Minister Andrej Babis over the Agrofert holding still continues.
