New rules for entry into Czech Republic taking effect

November 9th, 2020

New rules for the entry into the Czech Republic, relating both to Czechs returning from abroad and foreign arrivals, take effect on Monday, with most European countries denoted as red on the coronavirus "traffic lights," meaning a serious infection risk and obligation of Covid tests. The trips lasting maximally 12 hours will not carry the obligation of being tested upon return from the red countries. The exemption is also valid for cross-border commuters and students. The Foreign Ministry also wants to take out longer visits of the families separated by borders from the testing obligation.
