New Polish consul general assumes office in Lviv

Poland's new consul general, Eliza Dzwonkiewicz, assumed her duties in Lviv after having received an exequatur from a Ukrainian Foreign Ministry official in Kiev on Monday, the Polish Embassy in the Ukrainian capital reported. An exequatur is an official recognition by a government of a consul or other representative of a foreign state, authorising them to exercise office. Dzwonkiewicz replaced Rafal Wolski, who held the post of Poland's consul general in Lviv from April 2017 to July 2019.
