Five new members of the Social Dialogue Council, a consultative body that brings together employers, trade unions and the government, were appointed by President Andrzej Duda on Thursday. Addressing the new members, the president expressed his hope that the council would continue to work smoothly "in all matters, which are significant not only from the social point of view but which are also important for the state." "We have been doing all these things for Poland to better develop, for the Polish people and our society to have better living standards, and to make all elements of the state's functioning balanced and sustainable. In order to seek balance between employees and employers, between businessmen and consumers, and in everything, which has been functioning on our economic market and in our social environment," President Duda said.
