New govt to grapple with public finances, RRZ head says

Public finances will be a challenge for the new government that will emerge from Saturday's (February 29) general election, Budgetary Responsibility Council (RRZ) chairman Ivan Sramko said on Monday, warning of growth in the public finance deficit. In line with the approved budget, the deficit should reach 0.49 percent of GDP this year, he said.
