New EU affairs body to strengthen Poland's impact in EU - deputy FM

November 12th, 2019

The establishment of a separate EU affairs unit at the Prime Minister's Office is a very good idea and will reinforce Poland's political standing in the European Union, Deputy Foreign Minister Konrad Szymanski tasked with heading the new unit in the next term of office. Last week, the ruling party Law and Justice (PiS) presented the line-up of the proposed new cabinet following the party's October 13 election victory, winning the opportunity to form a government for a second four-year term.
