NATO communication conference gets under way in Warsaw

Polish Defence Minister Mariusz Blaszczak opened a NATO experts' conference in Warsaw on Wednesday, entitled "Communication in NATO on the 70th anniversary of its emergence: Unity of Message and a Message of Unity." Blaszczak called for an agreement on information exchange to be signed at the next NATO summit, saying that, "Counteracting disinformation ... requires rapid exchange of analysis and information between allies about incidents in that sphere. On the threshold of the third decade of the 21st century, we live in an environment dominated by information," Blaszczak said. "That environment is developing at an astounding pace, supported by advanced technology. War in the information space is a fact against which we all stand."
