NATO aircraft brings medial supplies to Slovakia

A NATO aircraft brought 48 tonnes of medical supplies, such as face masks, protective bio suits and gloves, to Slovakia on Wednesday in connection with the fight against the novel coronavirus, TASR has learnt from the US Embassy in Slovakia. "NATO has been running two strategic air transport programmes. The allies jointly own and operate three Globemaster C-17 cargo aircraft within the Strategic Airlift Capability programme and rent several Antonov AN-124 transport aircrafts within the Strategic Airlift Interim Solution (SALIS) programme," the embassy said.
