Nad: We need to cooperate with USA, former gov'ts should remember own steps

Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad opened the debate on the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) between Slovakia and the USA at a special House session on Tuesday by highlighting the need for cooperation that at the same time guarantees Slovakia's sovereignty. Nad reminded the former governments of Smer-SD and Voice-SD that they approved the presence of US soldiers in Slovakia to take part in plenty of military exercises in the past. He spoke about paradoxes and hypocrisy and criticised the opposition for neglecting the need to defend Slovakia in the past and thinking of its own business opportunities instead.
