Nad: Slovakia wants to be part of NATO Innovation Fund

As part of a meeting of defence ministers of NATO member countries in Brussels, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad signed on Friday on behalf of the Slovak Republic a Declaration of Intent for the NATO Innovation Fund, Martina Koval Kakascikova, spokeswoman for the Defence Ministry, told TASR. "In NATO, we want to create conditions for effective support of startups and scientific institutions focused on the development of technologically demanding solutions usable in both the civilian and defence sectors," said Nad, who also sees in the fund an opportunity for domestic startups. "I believe that this can be an interesting opportunity also for Slovak specialists."
