Nad: Recognition of separatists proves Putin uninterested in finding solution

Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad has said on Facebook that he considers Russia's recognition of the separatist republics in the Donbas region of Ukraine to be further proof that Russian President Vladimir Putin is not interested in finding a solution to the conflict and reducing tensions. "This decision, which [Putin] justifies by lying about the real situation in Ukraine, is a flagrant violation of international law and an infringement on Ukraine's sovereignty and its territorial integrity," Nad said. "Such a move cannot be seen in any other way than as preparation for Russian troops to enter Ukrainian territory and as rendering any diplomatic negotiations to resolve the situation inoperative."
