Nad: Money from US fund could be used to buy new Black Hawks

The Defence Ministry could spend 50 million US dollars from a US fund called Foreign Military Financing in order to purchase additional Black Hawk helicopters and equipment for Black Hawks bought earlier, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad said on Tuesday, adding that the final decision will depend on the demands of the Slovak Armed Forces. "There's also an option to buy lighter helicopters for domestic crisis management, for protecting the eastern border or for search and rescue missions. There are several alternatives," said Nad.
