Most Poles criticise church's public role

The majority of Poles has a dim view of the role the Catholic Church plays in public life, according to a new survey. The United Surveys' poll, published in the Dziennik Gazeta Prawna newspaper, found that 65 percent negatively assess the Church's performance in the public sphere. This percentage rises to 64 percent for irregular practitioners and to 76 percent for non-practitioners, the daily said.
