Most-Hid likely not to attend special session

February 13th, 2020

Most-Hid lawmakers are not likely to attend a special parliamentary session initiated by fellow coalition's SNS and Smer-SD parties, TASR learnt on Thursday. The session was scheduled by Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko for February 18 to discuss the rejection of the Istanbul Convention and the introduction of a number of social benefits. "We certainly won't lend support to the motions, over which this session is being convened. There's some discussion to be had within our caucus first, but in all probability Most-Hid lawmakers won't even attend the session," TASR was told by Parliamentary Vice-chair Andrej Hrnciar (Most-Hid).
