Most Czechs approving of postcommunist era

The postcommunist system is better than the one under the Communist rule before November 1989, this is the view held by roughly two-thirds of Czechs, according to a poll conducted by the STEM polling agency in mid-October. Some 16 percent share the view that the postcommunist developments were much or somewhat worse than before 1989, which is the lowest proportion since 1992. The elderly, the poor and the leftist voters tend to be more critical of the postcommunist era than the rest.
