More than third of country experiencing extreme drought

Extreme drought currently plagues more than a third of the country, with the worst situation being in eastern and central Slovakia, the Slovak Hydro-meteorological Institute (SHMU) has reported on Facebook. "The situation hasn't changed compared to last week and moderately dry to extremely dry conditions continue to prevail in Slovakia," the meteorologists said, adding that normal moisture conditions are currently only in the south-west of Slovakia.
