Twenty percent of Poles made their first online purchases during the coronavirus pandemic, while over 55 percent intend to limit their visits to shopping centers over safety concerns, according to a consumer survey conducted by the Accenture company. "The pandemic notably accelerated changes in consumer behaviours, which we had observed for a certain period of time," the report said. "Consumers faced the necessity of using different means of purchasing and delivering products." The company also noted that the e-commerce sector is gaining importance, with 31 percent of respondents intending to buy online more in the future, while companies that will thrive on the internet and adapt their online stores to the new needs of consumers will gain an advantage over the competition.
