Hungary's food safety authority (NEBIH) has detected bird flu infections in poultry farms in Hajdu-Bihar and Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg counties, in eastern and north-east Hungary, the authority said on Wednesday. The authority inspected farms in Nyiradony and Patroha after reports of rising death rates and falling feed consumption. The culling of 14,500 ducks and 19,500 hens has already started, Nebih said.
