Monika J. charged with bribery, might face up to ten years in jail

Former Smer-SD Justice Ministry state secretary and suspended Bratislava Regional Court judge identified by TASR only as Monika J. for legal reasons has been charged with corruption and bribery by a prosecutor and could face up to five-ten years in jail if found guilty, her lawyer Peter Erdos confirmed for reporters on Wednesday. The judge claimed to be innocent when questioned and lodged a complaint against the charges.
