Mlynek confirms interest in running for post of Bratislava mayor

August 9th, 2022

Head of Bratislava's Old Town municipal authority Martin Mlynek has confirmed for TASR his interest in running for the post of Bratislava mayor in the local elections due to be held this autumn. Mlynek says he has gained support from the OLaNO, OKS, Change from the Bottom Up and NOVA parties and that he's still in talks with some other parties. "The talks haven't yet been definitively concluded," he said. Mlynek, who is OKS vice-chairman, will run as a party candidate. "OKS nominated me as its candidate for the Bratislava mayor post, and a coalition of the above parties has supported this nomination," he said.
