Ministers' joint visit backs Ukrainian independence - Lipavsky

The Czech, Slovak and Austrian foreign ministers have expressed support for political independence of Ukraine by their joint trip to this country, Czech diplomacy head Jan Lipavsky said in Kiev today. He reiterated that the Russian demand that NATO pledge not to admit Ukraine as its member state was unacceptable. "We have brought a clear message: We are expressing solidarity with Ukraine and support for its political independence," Lipavsky said.
