Minister: Poland expects to have several thousand coronavirus cases by week's end

By the end of the week the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Poland will number several thousand, Health Minister Lukasz Szumowski said on Monday. Szumowski said the coronavirus epidemic in Poland was only just beginning, and that the infection count would rise. "We're not in the middle of the epidemic," the minister said. "This isn't the beginning of the end, nor even the end of the beginning. We're at the outset of a rise in infections."
