Poland's Finance Minister Tadeusz Koscinski told public radio on Thursday that, at the end of the year, unemployment would likely not reach the 8 percent level envisaged in the amended budget for 2020. "We have quite positive signals coming from the economy, some stabilisation is visible. The unemployment rate at the end of June and July amounted to 6.1 percent. And, at the beginning of the pandemic, we expected Poland's unemployment to to grow to a dozen or so percent at the end of the year," Koscinski told Radio Three.
