Military police officers preparing for EUNAVFOR MED Irini operation

Members of the Military Police are preparing in the Bratislava port on the Danube and at the diving base at the Senec Lakes (Bratislava region) for deployment to the naval military operation EUNAVFOR MED Irini, TASR learnt from spokeswoman for the Defence Ministry Martina Koval Kakascikova on Friday. After completing national training, the unit should strengthen from March 2022 the boarding team on a German frigate in the Mediterranean. The extension of the current mandate of the operation has yet to be approved by the security council, the Government and Parliament.
