Military parade marks Poland's Constitution Day

May 3rd, 2019

Featuring over 2,000 soldiers, a Strong Through Alliances military parade is being held on Friday in Warsaw on the occasion of the May 3rd Constitution. Before the parade, Defence Minister Mariusz Błaszczak highlighted that this year sees Poland's 20th anniversary as a NATO member and its 15th as a member state of the EU. He also said that today's task for Poland's armed forces was to replace post-Soviet equipment with modern fifth-generation equipment. The parade started with the anthems of Poland, the EU and NATO. It is being attended by state representatives including President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
