A Polish journalist was detained by the military in Myanmar (Burma) on Thursday, the Myanmar Mix portal reported on Friday. The man, Robert Bociaga, was detained in Taunggyi in central Myanmar. He was among others working for the German dpa news agency, the portal wrote. He was also allegedly beaten and injured. Photos on Facebook showed Bociaga being surrounded by soldiers in uniform and holding up his hands protectively.
