Mikulec: Situation on Slovak-Ukrainian border calm for now

The situation on the Slovak-Ukrainian border is calm, with no increase in the numbers of cross-border travellers or migrants being detected, Interior Minister Roman Mikulec has said, adding that his ministry was monitoring the border closely. "If there is increased pressure on our eastern border, we are ready to reinforce checks at border crossing points and the so-called green border, as well as the performance of the service should it be necessary to build control and registration centres at the border," Mikulec said.
