Mikulec expresses confidence in deputy Kyselica in face of intelligence claims

July 27th, 2020

Interior Minister Roman Mikulec, speaking via a spokesperson on Monday, expressed confidence in his deputy Lukas Kyselica after the daily Dennik N reported earlier in the day that Kyselica was a Military Intelligence agent until as recently as the February general election. "Interior Minister Roman Mikulec isn't entitled to know -- in his post -- who was or is a member of Military Intelligence," said Interior Ministry spokesperson Barbara Turosova. "Based on the information he has, the minister has currently no reason not to trust State Secretary Lukas Kyselica."
