Following Tuesday's session of the parliamentary defence and security committee, Interior Minister Roman Mikulec assured the public that the case of a severely bullied eleven-year-old girl from Miloslavov at the beginning of the new year will be investigated and that the Internal Affairs Inspectorate will also look into how the police had handled the case initially. In addition, the police will go into more depth when investigating the group that bullied the girl, as there are reports that the teenagers have committed similar acts in the past. The police will look at their conduct over the past two years. "The case won't be swept under the carpet under any circumstances," Mikulec said. "At the same time, the fact that one of the main protagonist's relatives is a police officer won't have any influence on the investigation."
