MFA: Slovakia not planning for now to join European Intervention Initiative

For the time being Slovakia is not planning to join the European Intervention Initiative (E2I), however, it is closely monitoring its creation, head of the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry press department Juraj Tomaga told TASR on Monday in connection with Italy's interest in joining E2I. "Slovakia doesn't plan to participate in these forces yet and is developing its military capabilities mainly within the framework of the EU's co-operation platforms, namely PESCO and NATO," said Tomaga.
