Prime Minister Igor Matovic said on Monday that he had held further talks on the possible production of vaccines against coronavirus in Slovakia, describing the negotiations as "interesting". "I'm pleased to see interest among global producers, but Slovak suppliers will now have to show their worth as well," wrote Matovic on Facebook. The prime minister indicated during the past weekend that a vaccine against coronavirus could be produced in Slovakia. He did not rule out that this could be the Russian vaccine Sputnik V, but he also said that Slovakia is holding talks with Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna as well.
