Marian K. stonewalls Slovak criminal court on Jan Kuciak's murder

January 13th, 2020

Marian K, indicted with ordering the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak, refused to make a statement before the Specialised Criminal Court and intends only to comment on individual pieces of evidence to be presented to the court later, TASR learnt on Monday. The lawyer representing the Kuciak family before the court, former minister of justice (2002-06) and interior (2010-12) Daniel Lipsic, respects this right of the defendant, but told the court this undermines the trustworthiness of any of Marian K.'s later testimony.
