A majority of Czechs, 54 percent, assess NATO positively, which is close to the average in the allied countries (53 percent), according to a survey Pew Research Center released on Monday. But in 2009 the number of those who assessed NATO positively in the Czech Republic was markedly higher, 66 percent. NATO is assessed the most positively in Poland (82 percent) and Lithuania (77 percent), and the least positively in Turkey (21 percent), Greece (37 percent) and Bulgaria (42 percent).
