Main opposition party announces talks to seek parliamentary majority

September 18th, 2020

The leader of Poland's main opposition party, the Civic Platform (PO), Borys Budka, announced on Friday afternoon the beginning of a process of broad consultations designed to seek a parliamentary majority. He added that PO should be getting ready for early elections, and announced that he had been authorised by the PO board to hold talks with PO coalition partners as well as with other parliamentary and non-parliamentary groupings in order to seek a parliamentary majority for a constructive vote of no confidence.
