Lynx Commando head becomes chair of international ATLAS network

Commander of the police special task unit, known as the Lynx Commando, Stefan Hamran, was elected in Helsinki a new chairman of the ATLAS network, an association of 38 anti-terrorist police tactical units, the police social network page said on Tuesday. Hamran was elected unanimously to a four-year tenure. Previously, ATLAS was chaired by the Netherlands, Germany and Austria. The Lynx Commando is renowned for conducting crackdowns against alleged murderers of journalist Jan Kuciak and 'Pitovci' criminal gang.
