The lower house security committee will discuss the proposal concerning Michal Koudelka and his reappointment as the director of the civilian counterintelligence service (BIS) next week, committee head Pavel Zacek (Civic Democrats, ODS) told CTK on Tuesday. Under the law on the intelligence services, the government appoints the BIS director after the lower house security committee deals with the issue. Last week, the committee recommended the appointment of Koudelka as BIS chief.
