Lobbyist gets prison sentence for public procurement manipulation

Czech lobbyist Martin Dedic will spend eight years in prison for manipulation of the Ostrava Town Hall's public procurement, and his property will be forfeited, as will the property of the Business Advisor firm that he controls, the Regional Court decided on Tuesday. Along with Dedic, another five suspects were convicted, receiving one regular and four suspended prison sentences. Another two suspects were acquitted.
