Prosecuting and punishing people for expressing opinions that aren't based on the truth would be the end of free speech, Special Prosecutor Daniel Lipsic has told TASR in response to the Justice Ministry's proposal to introduce a new criminal offence of disseminating false information as part of an amendment to the Penal Code.
