The Prince of Liechtenstein Foundation did not succeed with its complaint about state institutions in which it asked for the return of the property that it says is unfairly used by the Czech state and for damages, as the district court on Friday dismissed it as unsubstantiated. The claim covered the Lednice and Valtice chateaux. The Liechtenstein prince's family argues that the Czech state confiscated the property unlawfully under the Benes decrees after 1945. The Prince of Lichtenstein Foundation has filed property claims with 26 Czech district courts, demanding the return of its former property that had been confiscated after World War Two and is now owned by the Czech state.
