The Chamber of Deputies on Tuesday passed an amendment meant to speed up the expulsion of repeatedly convicted foreigners. The legislation has yet to be signed by President Milos Zeman. The amendment will mainly speed up the process of the expulsion of foreigners who were repeatedly convicted of an intentional crime in the Czech Republic. Interior Minister Jan Hamacek said the trial should take up half a year at the most, also because the courts, including the Supreme Administrative Court (NSS), would have 90 days to decide on the expellees' appeals.
