Legislation dealing with cyberbullying submitted to parlt

OLaNO MP Juraj Krupa and For the People lawmaker Jana Zitnanska told the media on Monday that coalition MPs have submitted a bill to parliament aimed at introducing the classification of a new crime, dangerous harassment, explaining that cyberbullying is an ever more frequent phenomenon in Slovakia and that there is currently no clear legislation to keep cyberbullies in check. According to Krupa, the issue of cyberbullying is a "ticking time bomb". The MP pointed to the fact that 52 percent of young Slovaks have experienced it, noting that cyberbullying leads to serious consequences such as depression, anxiety and suicidal tendencies.
