Lajcak opens Slovak embassy in Azerbaijan

Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak officially opened a new Slovak embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan, on Thursday. The embassy will be run by a charge d'affaires before Slovakia appoints an ambassador to the post. Lajcak expressed his hope that the new embassy will move relations between the two countries to "a higher level". At the same time he noted that the presence of the office in Azerbaijan represents an opportunity for Slovak businesses.
