Lajcak addresses Brussels Forum

Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak on Thursday addressed the Brussels Forum international conference. In his speech at the panel discussion A New Era of Geopolitical Competition, Lajcak said that while multipolarism can produce an appearance of balance, it is no guarantee of peace and stability. He cited the example of pre-WW1 Europe, saying that the continent then lacked a multilateral mechanism of co-operation and governance, which eventually resulted in the Great War.
