Kuciak murder suspect to have separate trial

The Specialised Criminal Court senate in Pezinok (Bratislava region) on Monday ruled that Miroslav M., who has pleaded guilty to murdering journalist Jan Kuciak and his fiancee Martina Kusnirova, will be dealt with in a separate trial in order to speed up the court proceedings. Miroslav M. pleaded guilty to the murders during the preparatory proceedings. He told investigators and later the court how he had murdered Kuciak and Kusnirova in February 2018 based on an order from Zoltan Andrusko.
