Czech Communist Party (KSCM) leader will be replaced irrespective of the results of the October general election as the current head Vojtech Filip will not seek re-election and KSCM MPs' group head Pavel Kovacik is not running in the elections, KSCM first deputy chairman Petr Simunek has told CTK. Filip has been Communist chairman for 16 years. Simunek said Filip confirmed at the KSCM executive committee meeting on Friday that he would not be running for the post anymore.
