Kralickova becomes first female rector of Charles University

Physician Milena Kralickova was elected the first ever female rector of Prague's Charles University (UK) on Friday, which she will head from February 2022 until 2026, after her election is confirmed by the president. The Academic Senate of the UK, which is the oldest and biggest university in the Czech Republic, elected Kralickova with the supporting votes of 55 out of its 69 members present. She will replace Tomas Zima in the post.
